Instead of 4.Re8... 4.Rg4+ is more better to win a queen ( if 4...Qg4 or Qg5, 5.Qh7 #)
Both are acceptable paths, it's not a perfect "mate" puzzle, sorry.

You should not call it a Mate in 9 unless you are sure you can do it against every black defense.
Actually, it is a mate in 9 against any defence (according to Stockfish).

I understand your concerns BigDoggProblem, and that's why I check my mate puzzles with an engine before I post them, just to be sure :P
