Here is a mate in one I have composed. Please write your solving time and your rating but without giving the solution.
White to play and mate in 1.
5 seconds rating is around 1600-1700 uscf
Only 5 seconds ?I'have showed this problem to several players better rated and they needed much more time.Congrats if you are not wrong.
I took about 30 seconds, rating 2000
takes a while looking at all of the pieces to find which one can checkmate...
EDIT: didn't even get it lol! thought Qb5 was mate, didn't see the pin
further edit: got it, about 90 seconds
1200ish. 40- 50 seconds.
1848, but I think my rating is a fluke, had some timeouts---think I got it, but only after I looked away from frustration then looked again, then thought I had it then was about to give up, not over 2 mins of actual contemplation tho. I STILL love your picture Elodie, and I think if I got it right you should send me an enlargement(LOL,I can dream can't I?)
10 seconds, 1700
30 seconds, don't have an official rating, around 1100-1300 here.
Just depends on which piece you start looking at.
about 90s, 2000 rating.
harder than it looks - give it 67 seconds at a 1257 rating
30 secs. Rating 1150.
Flawed!!! Qa1# or Rxe2!!!!!
Whoops, R takes a2 doesn't work, but still 30 secs.
c2 to c5 and also b7 to b5
Wow... nice problem.
23 possible checks if I counted correctly. The only White piece that can't deliver check is the pinned rook. And both of black's "pinned" pieces actually have to move in some of the lines.
