iHave fun everyone,lol
Classically beautiful problems! All four involve "key" moves. Three of the "waiting" variety and one of the "threat" variety. These are problems of the types prized by chess puzzle enthusiasts at the British Chess Problem Society at http://www.theproblemist.org/
Where did you find these? Also, the fourth one is unattributed, could you add that please, or did you compose that one yourself?
Thanks for posting these, Charlie.
Is it me or can't these pieces be moved?
They are diagrams, rather than playable puzzles. You do them in your head (or on a chess board).
those wer fun and somewhat challenging! THanks for posting them.
Here is another mate-in-two problem that is used as an introduction to the British Chess Problem Society's website. (After clicking on SOLUTION, you need to click on MOVE LIST to see all of the possible solutions.)
I got them from a book titled,Miniature Chess Problems by Colin Russ.
