Mate WITH the King!

Can you come up with a game where a king is the piece that

makes the checkmating move?  The quickest solution takes 5 moves.

Ok, the first two examples are just silly. Who, other than Lenny Bongcloud, activates their King so early in the game? You will NEVER see either of those positions happen. 

 

Second, the title of this thread is Mate WITH the King, implying that the King is the piece administering checkmate, which it obviously cannot do. Moving the King to reveal a discovered mate is not the same thing. It is other pieces that are doing the mating, not the King. In order for the King to administer checkmate it has to be able to attack the other King directly which it cannot do without putting itself in check. The King can be instrumental in mate, yes, but it can never give checkmate directly.

Hm, Marshal--looks like you're not getting enough whimsy in your diet.  The title was deliberately tongue in cheek, so lighten up a bit, huh? (I think there's room enough in this town for the both of us, Sheriff).
