A simple tactic, but I thought that it never hurts to brush up on the basics Smile . This one I managed to work into one of my games today.

I wasn't 'showing it off', simply demonstrating a tactic. If I wanted to 'show off' I would have changed the rating!

LOL your rated 1400 playing against a n00b of 1000 try that against me(1500) I will smoke you! I think it's sad when people show off "amazing moves" against N00BS!!

interestin.. and god I wish my oppenents would fall for it (then again)

but really blacks play was inexperienced, and you would'nt have had this opportunity otherwise.

pins and forks are great... unfortunately most players see them before you can play the killer move (still it can be a strategic advantage with the premenition of a countering move

A funny situation! (10 Ne5 right away would also win the queen).

yes that is what i would have done (10.Ne5). That way it also threatens Bxg6# so has to lose the queen. For refference you would be suprised who would fall for it or other tactical idea's like it. Even good players fall for things like these sometimes, just not always in such an order as this example. Thank you Dexterbrain for sharing it.
