Here is a position from one of my games. There are a lot of mating threats for white, so precise play is required for black.
This is not about preventing mate, it is about gaining an advantage while, as always, preventing mate.

I want to know who saw 2. Kg7 before taking the rook.
To take the rook in a match requires precise analysis.
