My games usually just wind down, so it was fun to have a big combo ending for once.

This was my first puzzle, so it may come out with comments showing up at the wrong times. If it works right, you should complete it in under an hour.  Then feel free to respond below by saying "Easy."

Don't worry.  I know that I'm a.... how do you say?.... doosh?   (In case there was any uncertainty on that.)   But at the same time, wasn't it kind of funny, almost, in a way?

Too bad the move-by-move comments don't seem to activate until the puzzle is all over.  Cuz who's going to backtrack to see them?  And they're soooo worthwhile!   Oh well.  You know what?  A little smooth jazz right now would make me stop fussing over that and just relax and enjoy my bishops and knights and......

OH NO!  I violated my own rule about no smooth jazz discussion!   This is embarrassing.

4. Nh4+ took me some minutes, but apart of that... easy :-D

Beautiful... I would probably missed it due to the forth move, and I would never tried it in OTB :o)

Yeah, I tried to play 2. g6 as well.

To the user who thought everything was easy other than 4. Nh4+. You gave up your queen without seeing how it lead to a win? If you play the first move without calculating a winning line, then you're just blundering material and getting lucky.

Nice mate in 6 puzzle.  :)  All of white's moves forced all of black's moves except black did have the option 4...Kh5 but then 5. g4#.  :)

tonydal, 2. g6 is a good move.  :)  Although, I think black can slow down mate with 2. g6 Qh6 3. Nxh6 Ne2+ 4. Kb1 Nc3+ 5. bxc3 gxh6 and white doesn't have mate on the next move.  :)  White is still winning though.  :)

You didn't miss anything. 2.Rxh7+ is the fastest forced mate.

2 g6 Qh6 3 Bxh6 (sorry, TonightOnly, but this does seem to get the job done a move quicker).

Both ways work about as quick, because in that less forcing line that you gave Black can give 2 'spite' checks on e2 and c3 for what it's worth.

I honestly got the more forcing line in about 2 seconds btw.

Yep, once again, can't count today (they're both mate in 6s).

Actually isn't the line you gave mate in 7? 1. Qxh7+ Qxh7 2. g6 Ne2+ 3. Kb1 Nc3+ 4. bxc4 Qh6 5. Bxh6 Rf7 6. Bxg7+ Kg8 7. Rh8# Wink lol

Yes, you are right, atomic one (I hate it when I try to be all pompous and all-knowing and it backfires!).
