So, just in case you were wondering, 2.Rxh7+ is mate in six and 2.g6 is mate in eight.

 

2.g6 Ne2+ is mate in seven

2.g6 Qh6 3.Bxh6 is not a quick mate

2.g6 Qh6 3.Nxh6 is mate in eight

 

Here is the completion of Einstein's line in post #9 (as I see it). Correct me if I am wrong.

2.g6 Qh6 3.Nxh6 Ne2+ 4.Kb1 Nc3+ 5.bxc3 gxh6 6.Bxh6 Rf7 7.Bxf7 followed by 8.Bf8#
