Maroczy really made some bad moves in that chess game.

Indeed 18.Kg3 draws.  Marshall's 17...Kg5, however, was a mistake. Correct was 17...g5.

According to chesslive.de, this game was played in the 11th round of Monte Carlo 1903.  And Marshall did indeed play 57... g5 (not ... Kg5); it was a little hard to believe he would've made such an elementary gaffe after all of that (or for that matter that a player of Maroczy's calibre wouldn't have spotted the draw).
