Here's a puzzle from a recent game I played.  I would rate the difficulty as beginner to advanced beginner.  I didn't provide hints in the title, as hints don't pop up during a game.  Enjoy.  Let me know what you think.  I'll comment a little further in a second post.

 

If I were to title this puzzle with the theme, it would be "Find the best combination."

white doesnt lose his rook for nothing.  he can take the knight with his king. although that sets him up in a bad position.

chess_god, thanks for your comment.  My second puzzle starts from the position where white's king captures knight.  You can check it out to see what happens in the position. 

25).. Kg3  26)fxg3 Qh1+  27)Ke2 Rh2# would be my attempt, but if white saw that, I suppose he'd walk his king to queenside instead of taking the knight.  :)
