I like chess patters, useless nerdy ones, like this. Can anyone tell me what it means?

It looks to me like a valuation of the squares themselves. For instance, each square has more or less value regardless which piece or pawn occupies it. If that's the case then I'd give the center four squares a value of 10 instead of eight.
