You go up 3 pawns rather than only 2, and you keep the lock on the white rook/king to the back rank for a while while you move in for either the mate or winning the other rook.

Because winning a whole piece is better than winning a rook for a bishop. Although, the material advantage is really just academic in this position, white could have resigned before this puzzle even started.

Yeah, I personally prefer puzzles that involve mating from a lost position or similar

sorry,I disagree.If the material value is calculated,the black only win appreciable two pawn value.

In a position like that 2 pawns is a simple win.  Especially with the tactic still on the board.

God2, not only is black going up a whole piece instead of an exchange, black is taking away white's active knight instead of exchanging black's active bishop for white's inactive rook.

guys, in the first "puzzle" instead of 2... Bb6+? 2...Nxc3+ wins at least the knight and pawn
