Yeah... post the invalid puzzle please. You're taking away the inquisitiveness.

Sorry. The deletion is permanent.

I mean RE-POST it.

I don't remember the puzzle. That's why I said "permanent".

I remember it this way. Intent is s#1 via 1.Bd5+ Re8#, but wQ can interpose.

Yes, I repositioned the queen in my diagram to fix that flaw...

VULPES_VULPES

See the replacement puzzle titled "Selfmate #4b".

This one is silly!  Isn't this actually mate in 3?

The point of this type of problem is to force the other side to checkmate you.

OK, there's a rook down there and a bishop behind it. I see it now. :)

ClavierCavalier

Yeah, 1. Bd5+ Re8# was the selfmate solution!  :-p

I think everyone got that.  I'm saying that 1. Bd5 is even more silly due to the mate in 3.

BigDoggProblem

"I think everyone got that.  I'm saying that 1. Bd5 is even more silly due to the mate in 3."

Everyone got it but you. The fact that there is a forced mate in 3 is completely irrelevant.

It seems that your able to understand the second sentence of the first comment and then the first of my second.  Perhaps doing so with both sentences of both comments will help you.

BigDoggProblem

Yikes. Ok, moving on...

I never knew a deleted puzzle would get so many comments
