Just because I'm so nice I made it into a puzzle, rather than a diagram. Pretty nice mate in two.

Why do people have a problem with chess puzzles posted in this manner? I just received similar criticism and mockery in one of my own threads where I posted a diagram.

Please respond. I ask in all seriousness: Hasn't every chess problem you have ever encountered before chess.com looked like the OP?

I would say something like "Oh they have just gotten used to chess.com and the glitzy interactive puzzles." However, you two have 4 and 6 member points at the time of posting, which suggests that you have not spent much time on chess.com.

Of course every chess problem I encountered was unmovable. I don't have a problem with it, it's just that since we CAN make it like this we DO because it's easier to see.

Well, some problems just don't have a simple solution like this that you can input. Like in my 'White to play and draw' post, the point is to find how white draws against every black move. You can't really post that. But a number of people assumed that I messed up and didn't even think of putting in the work themselves. I seem to see a number of posts in this vein every time I come across a problem posted as a diagram.

You are right that, with such a straightforward solution, there is no reason not to post as a puzzle. But that doesn't mean that he has messed up if he has not posted like that.

When you click 'insert position or game,' three options come up. Choose the bottom one that says 'puzzle, problem, or challenge to be solved.' You can paste an fen or just set up the position yourself. When you are done setting up the starting position (in this case, the position above), click the button that says 'enter moves.' Then just drag the pieces as if you were playing a game and when you drop the pieces, the moves will be entered automatically. When you are done entering the moves, you can change display settings, or just click insert.
