White plays and wins in 5 moves
With this enigmatic title I put here an interesting problem composed by B. S. Witte. Be careful to not statemate black King cornered.

Why mate in five when you can mate with 1. Qg1# ?
fmarti
Against Qg1+ black plays hxg1=Q
thomasb3000
because hxg1 and it will be difficult to win at all
Frankdawg
That's just looking too deep and under promoting and all that for a win. I personally would have just played bishop takes pawn on the first move. Then move the queen to f2 with check on my next move. With the stale mate removed and being up so much material winning from there should not be difficult.
Frankdawg, feel like finding a different mate variant in 5 moves or less?
