Could of been prevented quite easily though if the B knight moved anywhere.

If the object is to maintain material parity, why not Bh8?

I think black is losing or at least even now, i don't understand Be2? Why not immediately Bf3 which at least wins you some material?

But why not 3. Bxh8?  It maintains parity and saves you the danger of Nc6 messing up your plan.
