Puzzle #1 7..Rg3# and Rxg5#. Nice puzzle though, however I think that it should just be Black to move and win as white can delay the mate

the first one is really good (and tough), the second one was easy for me, but people that are only just starting with chess will be happy about it all the same...

EDIT: but looking at it closer now, the mate is not forced, white played a couple of bad moves in the puzzle, i.e. instead of 3.g4 white would play 3.Rf4 and he wouldn't play 6.dxc6 either....

Cool puzzles maybe I should start posting puzzles from my live games. I tend to do better in person so why not? Thanks for the tip!

Mate or no mate, I'd just play 2... h5.  I mean, what a ridiculous-looking rook on h4.  As for the 2nd one, QxQ is not the ideal first move for a problem.

Especially when the queen is undefended. The mind boggles.

Good ideas, but that would delay the mate ,tonydal.Plus I'm not that good ,nor my opponent, and if you really think my puzzles are "ridiculous" just don't try! I admit it puzzle#2 is not good ,but still not  THAT bad! For the first puzzle:it's not best moves but that's what I did,and I can't find correction to black's moves, sorry!
