All right, to be honest I only post this here because there is still no means to get a simple Analysis Board in all these tabs above, i.e. 'play', 'learn'... but I won't blame chess.com, I suppose they're all working very hard on improving this site... Besides it's really simplest to just copy the PGN file into these diagrams and have the game ready. Beyond that the game IS pretty interesting and I particularly enjoyed the end of it... check it out if you like =)

Grooten was of course winning early on... Nijboer said that there were at least ten occassions on which he thought "if he plays that move now, I'll resign", and Grooten played another move (44.Bf5+ is still winning). Then Nijboer was winning, until 56...Rdxd3?? which allowed Grooten's magnificent schwindle.

I found it really entertaining how Nijboer tried to somehow shake off that annoying rook though, until finally admitting that Grooten was not going to blunder and stalemate was his only choice...

the end game makes me laugh too!  I was thinking to myself, "why doesn't that king take that rook!?!?!?  Took me a second to figure out what was really happening though.  HALaughing
