yes but thats the way the game played out

i guess it didnt want to get eaten by my pawn

and its not supposed to be checkmate just get ahead on material

oh no now i understand

it wanted to force my queen back with the bishop

threatening to eat the queen

hmm... i don't see the problem after 3.-Qd2. even following the line after 3.-Bd2 Qxa2 4.-Rc1 white should have fair compensation for the pawns since it have good pice develompment. and now tha i think of that what about 2.-Ne5 forcing black to defend. the best defense for black would be f5, now we can move our knight safely to e4 and after b3 take him back to c3.

 P.S: i doubt a computer would have miss something this simple X_x maybe the comp lvl was caped.

my guess - you used a buggy version of crafty. Dr Bob Hyatt (author of crafty) when such things were pointed out to him always said somthing like - oh crafy 14.16 is broken -- revert to crafty 14.15 :)

I think you are right.  Q-d2 is even better. 

 

As for the op.  You said black to play and win material.  They don't even win material with accurate play was what I was pointing out.
