Pretty good trap there. A minor improvement might be 10.Bxd7+... After the king moves or captures then take the queen.

You haven't done enough Chess Mentor lessons, as this is the famous Milner-Barry gambit, described in Chess Mentor STU016 in the series "First Openings for White." It is a great trap.

In John Nunn's Chess Puzzle Book there's a whole chapter devoted to issues like this. It's called "Find the Wrong Move" and is devoted to finding a plausible move which fails for concrete tactical reasons. You actually get examples where even grandmasters of around 2500 elo missed devastating tactics. Solving puzzles from this angle is a very good training for avoiding fatal mistakes.
I'll give an example which I posted in the forum of my online team just yesterday:
Enjoy!

WHOA! AMAZING...
What makes it even more curious is that John Nunn says he has got four games in his database where the blunder was played. Only in two of them White found the immediate win, but the victims were two grandmasters of around 2450 elo.
I try to think of this when I have messed up one of my games again
