thats more than 2 moves and i mean theres a high chance u will be in that setup
What if 1... Ke6?
While I agree the actual solution takes more than 2 moves, the solution offered is indeed 2 moves.
I couldn't see a mate in 2 either after that move. With an engine's help, I found a mate in 5, but definitely not 2.
after 1. ... Ke6 it's 2. Qf5# mate
Indeed it is...very nice
That one way to do it. But there are also a million others.
Oops, total failure on my part.
It is a mate in two, so your engine can't be very strong.
So the solution is
1. Qb1
Here are all variations:
1... Kc6 2. Qb7#1... Kc4 2. Qd3#1... Ke6 2. Qxf5#1... e6 2. Qb5#1... e5 2. Qb5#1... Re5 2. Qb5#1... Rf8 2. Qb5#1... Rf7 2. Qb5#1... Rf6 2. Qb5#1... Rxf4 2. Qb5#1... Nh7 2. Qe4#1... Nf7 2. Qe4#1... Ne6 2. Qe4#1... Ne4 2. Qxe4#1... Nf3 2. Qe4#1... Nxh3 2. Qe4# (This is the variation shown in the puzzle.)
In the diagram shown below you can see the variation shown in the puzzle and you can see all the other variations if you click on "MOVE LIST".
There'smore than 2 moves but good puzzle
Please read the thread before posting. I have just demonstrated that there is no more than 2 moves. If you can demonstrate something else, then please do!
