I'm sorry, but how is this a puzzle? I don't understand the logic. After a few moves that made sense, it seemed to me like the endgame tactics employed were erratic and without thought. It all seemed to fall apart after move 3... but maybe I'm missing something.
lol it totally made sense, but why white would have to make draw? i think he could win this
btw, first Bc5 was necessary to prevent enemy king to move out and capture pawn, then mid pawn was necessary to make way for king and to prevent another escape route for black at f6 later
this didn't make sense... why not crown queen and get a checkmate out of it... plus black could capture the white bishop for no sacrifice.
Black's bishop is guarding the promotion square. As soon as he takes white's bishop then white can promote, therefore white can just keep threatening black's bishop, and it'll be a draw by repetition.
Ha! A twelve move "puzzle!"
there is no win for white. line from the diagram is best for white because black is very dangerous with 2 bishops and away pawn.
That isn't exactly a chess puzzle. Chess puzzles are only a couple moves long, not 12! Anyway, I'm pretty sure white could have won that game somehow.
Why doesn't black play 9.- Kxd7!
i was puzzled sorta too club, but i see now; Kxd7 f7, Ke7 Bf6+! ^_^.
