This position recently arose in a game I played. I made a really obvious mistake early on and went down the exchange. I spent most of the game trying to find some way to equalize or get ahead with tactics. The time control was 15/10

and yes move 3 is a mistake for black. He thought he could get ahead via tactics of his own. still though my knight is strongly placed and may have been worth a rook coupled with the passed pawn.

excellent idea.  Good way to exploit a tactic that wasn't well planned.
