Yeah, nice, but white can keep the bishop too, Bxe5+ is not necessary

Actually, I've seen this position before and you made a mistake there. In your line 2... Kg6 draws. This is why 2. Bxe5+! first is necessary to lure the queen to e5, after which 3. Qh8+! transposes into your given line.
