Here is a little tactical puzzle. From a recent game of mine (slightly modified).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Black's play is not the most accurate in the line I programmed in, but it serves to demostrate the idea of the puzzle better.

1. Nxg6 is better. Check variations on move list.

If Qxd4 after Nxg6 to stop mate on h8 then Ne7 is mate anyway.
