Hi,
Here's a little puzzle with a difference.
There is one of whites pieces missing on c5. With this piece white can move and mate in 2. The piece missing will always be either a Rook, a Bishop, a Knight or a Pawn.
You can only get mate in 2 with this piece.
Your task is to figure out which piece is missing and then find mate.
White to move and mate in 2 when you've figured out the missing piece.
I'll post the answer soon.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Knight, Na6+, b x a, Qb5++

Yeah, very nice puzzle, most ppl would think it's a queen it is, but it's not! Knights are powerful things.
Kingfisher
Missing piece is the knight, but there are two ways to mate. The above mentioned Na6+ and Qe4.

Except Qe4 allows black to delay mate by playing things such as Qh1+ :P
Lord-Chaos
Qe4 doesnt work because of Qg3+ Kh1 Qh3+ Kg1 and repetitive check from there. Also, black can play Nc6. So only Na6+ works.
The answer already been posted a couple of times. So well done everyone. I hope you liked it. There is only one possible outcome for checkmate i two moves. ( i did check this with fritz first just to make sure i hadn't missed something )
Answer
The missing piece is a Knight
