8 Queens - None attacking each other

Here's a problem I found interesting:

On a 8x8 chess board- place 8 queens in, which none attack each other.

I know there are some versions of chess where different rules are made up, for example, "hostage chess".

 

There's one I made up and played with a few people (it might exist already with a different name) where the object of the game is to checkmate but only like-pieces can capture each other (i.e.: QxQ's RxR's pxp's NxN BxB). Another version was only pxp's allowed.

 

I'm not sure if pxp is the correct notation for pawn takes pawn- someone correct me if it's wrong...
