Hey whats up guys? Just wondering if anyone produces or records their own music. If you do, post a website with any clips or other information about what you do.

I mess around with Ableton Live when I'm not sucking at chess. Such a fun program <3

I play guitar and sing, but rarely record.  When I do I like to use audacity or garage band.

This is the only one online.  Made it over 2 years ago and I've been playing for 3.  Wasn't the best, but it was definitely a good test of audacity's capabilities.  Has auto-wah :)

I don't have any clips of my recordings to share right now but as well as grensley I also use audacity for my recordings. The good thing with that program is that it is free. I also have used cubase but it was, at the moment, a little bit too advanced for me but I think I will try it again soon.

if you're looking to switch to a more satisfying DAW like cubase, you might also want to consider Ableton Live 8, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P9VeExAjkU

There's a youtube video of what they added in this version. It's a sweet program, and great for live performances as well as composing and recording.

Ableton Live is the shit. I'm soon buying an Akai MPD24 and a MIDI keyboard to get all this dubstep nonsense out of my head and into your ears. I'm also trying to start a hip-hop project with a friend who just moved to Seattle.

You may want to try Cubase and/or Reason.
