Hard to believe that this Saturday will mark that 147th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War via the Confederate shelling of Fort Sumter!  How the time flies! 

Anybody else around here enjoy reading about the ACW?  I enjoy all aspects of military history, but I find the ACW to be absolutely fascinating for so many reasons, not the least of which is that fact that its reverberations are still felt to this very day.
