Is it played in the Summer Olympics or in the Winter Olympics?

From the IOC site, chess is a recognized Olypic Sport.

Hey, and check this out Batgirl:)

"In order to be recognised, these organisations must apply the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code and conduct effective out-of-competition tests in accordance with the established rules. The recognition of IFs newly recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) shall be provisional for a period of two years or any other period fixed by the IOC Executive Board. At the end of such period, the recognition shall automatically lapse in the absence of definitive confirmation given in writing by the IOC."

Well,I played chess in a Dominican Republic Patriotic Special Olympic, tehy included Ju-Jitsu,baseball,boxing,gymnastics,among other sports, and they considered it a sport. So that being said, there may be some performance enhancing drug that may help the chessplayer,so...when they do,let me know.Because the way I've been playing,I need something like that,I wouldn't have to worry about it.LOL

Peopole should be able to use any drug they want for sports, everyone can use them why not, if you want to remain competive use drugs. I don`t see why they should be banned from any sport.
