hey. last night in bed I thought up a neet idea. what if chess.com made a backgammon branch. it could be exactly the same just backgammon instead of chess.
Imagine one for Draughts !
whats draughts. is it a game
Yea it's played on a chess board.
neet. ive never heard of that
it's almost the same as checkers, depending on the variation of draughts you play.
oh.
Draughts is much different from checkers.
who am I sopost to listen to here!!!
ROFL.
(to post #8)
not so. English draughts is another name for American checkers. Other variants of draughts such as international draughts are slightly different, yet the same concepts apply. Look here if you don't believe me:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draughts
oh. i see
The pieces look a little bit the same, in draughts you get what is called a crown when you reach the back rank with one of you're draughts, and then it can go backwards as well as forwards.
that is the exact same in checkers, only it's called a king not a crown.
wow. yea if you get a checker to the back row it becomes a double stacked "king" wich can move backwards. is that the sme in draught
Yeah you put a extra draughted on. And it's called a crown.
Chess is the best board game ever
yes I would like to see Backgammon.com as well, should be interesting....
btw there are many variations for checkers/draughts, as mention earlier there is international, losing/givaway checkers, diagonal checkers,Italian checkers, Spanish checkers, etc. etc...
wow thats alot
Chess is way better than backgammon. Just my opinion.
