The admins have a ban on politics and religion but have begun locking and deleting threads on even science discussions. Ive had two such threads ive started deleted and one I wanted to participate in locked before I could post.

On top of that ive had two of my profile pictures deleted... one of a punk rocker with a mohawk and the other of David Hassaloff in a swimsuit..... I was told they were unappropiate for the hyper conservative edging on mormon chess.com forums.

Obviously people here want to discuss these things or else they issue wouldnt come up day after day.  Erik has locked at least 4 different threads on these topics since ive become a member.

Complete rubbish!

I agree. Science is not religion and religion is not science, no matter what some religious people want to claim. Don't confound the two of them. Don't punish people for wanting to speak, punish those who are not able to communicate with maturity and self-control.

Should we also censor philosophy? Because as you know, some of the question philosophy tries to answer is "is there a god"? Censorship of intellectual thoughts on a chess site? Shame!

Some people might even post questions or statements which proves their misunderstanding. I would rather enlight and offer them a chance, reason, way to rethink their position on the issue rather than telling them to hush and remain unknowing or at the very least blindly following the masses. It is much more gratifying to have a reason to believe something rather than doing it because it's daddy's way.

What wrong can it be to simply have a section in the forums for this kind of debates? If people don't like it because they feel offended by what is being told in there, then they have the choice of not looking at it. If they do look at it, they take full responsibility for it and have no one but themselves to blame.

I ask the forum admins to look into this possibility and at least to reconsider their position on scientifical debates.

Yes you have.

However, there is the Open Discussion Group, where one can debate all the normally censored things. However, science does not violate any rule. What kind of science was locked?
