why do alot of people like checkers but not chess?Undecided

maby because checkers is quick and easy and chess is longer and harder

 Not quite that easy if you play the Canadian game with 30 pieces on each side and must take the piece offered and also must take pieces backward, that's the rule.The board has 144 squares and the combinations not as highh as chess are astounding.

So not an easy game I have played it for 25 years or so and have quit to devote my time to chess.

There is a lot of strategy in checkers, you can loose the game after 3 to 4 moves only, you do need to practice a lot and memorize patterns and when you promote and get your queen, she can be devastating.

Draughts is better.
