OK, first off the ads you can pause or the ones that don't talk or whatever are ok. But the interaction ads are so annoying. Can't be paused! I know just mute it. But sometimes I'm listening to music that I can focus with. But the ads ruin everything! JUST MAKE THE INTERACTION TALKING, LOUD NOISE ADS STOP PLEASE!!!!!!

Most websites go to web advertisement services to provide money for whatever they do, so Chess.com probably cannot choose what ads appear on the side of the screen.

A solution to the "talking" ads (if you are listening to it from a device) is to directly listen to it from headphones or connect the device to your speakers if you have a speaker system (thats what i do).

    Good luck.

Those ads are extremely annoying, but I understand that Chess.com needs to make money in order to maintain and upgrade its services. I believe there are ways in most operating systems to mute noise from your browser without muting noise from your media player. Maybe a third party program. There is also browser add-ons like AdBlock, but I don't think that is fair to Chess.com.

Sometimes I'm listening to music on the computer and already have headphones in the computer. And then the ads pop up. I understand chess.com needs money. But I wish the advertisement services would put a mute botton on there ads.

I like the pop up ads! I managed to buy a good quality laptop that would last me for life, with the same money I could have used to buy a chess.com premium membership for 3 years...

what is really annoying and not even smart from the business perspective is those mother fruiting adds they place when you're doing tactics trainer -.-. It BLOCKS the whole screen, and it mostly always blocks the page as well making it IMPOSSIBLE for you to play tactics. Fortunately i haven't seen those in a while for they featured some sort of billiards online game, but gosh, cripple your visitors use of YOUR OWN website by displaying adds, not only is that fruiting annoying but it's a fucking bad business plan. cheers.
