JKR recently revealed that Dumbledore, from the hugely popular childrens book series Harry Potter, is gay.  Anyone else caught a little off guard by this revelation?  It's been met with mixed views from fans of the books and movies.  It doesn't really make that much difference to me, just didn't really consider it when I read the books.  Btw, keep bigoted comments off this thread, and these boards for that matter.

The following is a link to the transcript of the talk she gave to fans at Carnegie Hall.
