The guy who put this site together spells his name with a 'K.'  His name is in plain view.  Why do so many members insist on asking Eric questions?  If you know that he's the guy to talk to, that means you've seen his name, spelled correctly, at least once.  Yell

I think I have a problem.  I enjoy our language and cringe when it's butchered, yet I'm addicted to an online forum site.  I'll have developed an ulcer by Wednesday.

Believe it or not, this spelling is supposed to be less offensive.  It's meant simply as an expression of extreme frustration, ignoring the origin of the word.

How do we know that Erik's name is spelled Erik?  Reb's username is R E B, but his name is R E X.  Erik's name could be Eric, with his username being Erik.

Other than the spelling of his actual name being listed on his profile, I have no solid evidence.  Are you familiar with Ockham's Razor?

Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate.

Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily.

He strikes me as a really laid back and reasonable guy. I'm sure it doesn't bother him when people casually forget that he has a K there and not a C.

/or at least I hope he does!

//cause I am guilty of doing it!

//hope Erik forgives me, won't happen again.

He strikes me as the type who noticed flaws in the way people were going about things and sought to correct them.

I think the kind of person that would take offense with the original three-worder would still take offense with this conglomeration; no matter what your PC authority tells you. Just a thought.

That was in reference to William of Ockham, who has been dead for hundreds of years.  Who would I be sucking up to?

Hey my middle name is also ERIK, spelt with a K.

It originates from Scandinavia so Erik and Myself have meat eating Viking blood, so please show some respect, plus his Mom would be upset if she knew you were making fun of him in the play ground.

I'm a vegetarian myself.
