In chess do you favor White or Black? If you chose White is it because you get to move first and therefore determine the general direction of the game... Or is it Black, you get to counter Whites first move... And it may also be that Black moves second and has to work it's way to be at the top (The # of Moves Ahead). I am not being judgemental it's just that I want to know WHO likes WHAT and WHY they like it. The question remains unaswered, WHITE OR BLACK? It's up to you to decide...

But seriously... If white can keep tempo, there is a better chance to keep black on his heels and ultimately defeat him. The trick for black is to steal the tempo...

Ok, now for my answer to your question: I like both.

I like playing Black somewhat more. Reasons ? hm, think that with Black pieces I can easier end up in positions that I like. Also, I like that approach with Black, to try to unbalace the game and go for counterattack. And of course,  it is always a nice thing to win with Black pieces.

I like white. I need all the help I can get.

I say white because the Trompowsky attack works better. But sometimes black can be good against some opponents because you can shadow their moves in a way.

I like white because I like to play e4 and I hate playing against d4! Although if the other person moves e4 then I'm ok with black.

i like both white and black. white gets to move first. which i think is good cuz u know an extra move in planing tactic is good.  For black i like the color.
