i have installed this beta version to see how it coped particularly with chess.com.

happy to relate no problems thus far. ver 3 should be on general release soon but at the moment i would not recommend it for any non-techies.

anyone esle tried it out yet?

Yep, ive been using the beta version since it was released a month or so back? A few days ago they released the RC2 candidate which fixed a couple of issues.

Overall it is much faster with page load times which i found very helpful here. The only downside is that most addons dont work as their devs will wait to update them once Mozilla release the final version.

Ye can get the RC2 version here if ye like

Yes the only reason i uninstalled firefox 3 beta is that it doesnt take my favourite addons.

wahey i worked it out!

ok.. in yer browser location bar put..

about:config

Then click ok to acknowledge thats it dangerous heh

Then scroll down looking for..

browser.fullscreen.autohide

Doubelclick where the value is set to true. This will change it to false.

Now try F11 and full screen should leave the nav bar and tabs there..
