By looking at the weather in the US...the governments that fund all of these projects to study global warming should perhaps put some money into global starvation...that way at least the people that are starving in the world could get a piece of the pie...instead of sno-cones.

Your government is in many ways different and more money is spent on wars which in this case is bad, money should go towards better things like making poverty history and actually sorting out global warming. I believe the first thing that our governments should do is end war (ofcourse this is hard). But for everyones sake its christmas and so lets make peace. God bless everyone!

If the warming trend does not reverse, among the results will be global starvation beyond anything yet seen. Of course, famine will not be the worst of our problems.

There is no such thing as global warming. Chuck Norris was cold, so he turned the sun up.

Global Warming is a fact. More over, just because it's cold where you are, does not mean that global warming isn't happening. If you don't know what you are talking about kindly keep quiet or have me prove you to be an imbecile.

For those who care the danger in global warming isn't about having temperatures rise all season long. Our world hangs in a delicate balance. Trade winds blow across the oceans sweeping up to the arctic north, cooling in the process. These cold winds are then circulated back south establishing a natural air conditioning system for the entire planet. When the teperatures rise globally, the surface temperatures of the ocean are higher, causing the heated air from the trade winds to become warmer. This causes the air to travel further north before it can come back down south. This drastically alters our trade winds, which as I informed you earlier, is our airconditioning. In addition the warmer air continually pushing north causes ice flows to melt. Nothing wrong with ice melting if it's ice that's floating in the ocean, that won't displace any more water. But it's melting the Ice flows that are on land masses. Imagine, if you can, a sheet of ice 700 feet tall and thousands of miles wide. This ice flow sits on a land mass, yet we have footage of this ice flow, cracking and breaking off into the ocean. This will raise the water levels global. Of course that's not our problem, it's only raising the water levels at an approximate 1 foot per 2 years. I'm sure that Mississippi will be fine since it's no where near sea level...That's sarcasm. Of course, I'll play a game in your memory Knightsgallop, once the flood waters wash out everything you ever cared about. I just hope that you try thinking and then maybe do something about it.

Climate change (rather than "global warming") has been on-going since the earth was formed. The climate of this planet will continue to change until the earth is no more. All we can do as the dominant race is either attempt to speed it up or slow it down.....nothing more, nothing less. The billions of dollars/pounds/euros being squeazed out of tax payers in the name of slowing down climate change is just a "morally acceptable" method of increasing revenues for corrupt and bankrupt governments. Don't get suckered into the great climate change swindle!

While you are from a member nation of the EU, I come from a country that largely denies global warming. Furthermore, you fail to address the ramifications of climate change. The concern is not that climate change occurs, the concern is that humanity is accelerating the climate change. The fact is that we will not survive the events once we have altered the global tempurature shift of merely 1 full degree.  The earth will continue, life will continue, humankind will perish. Mayhaps that does not concern you? The proof is readily available. I, for one, am through with all the disbelievers, convenience seekers, and agenda pushers. Humanity is the cancer on the face of the world, and I will sit back and play chess while the rest of you kill us all of, or drastically change your lives.

I don't disagree with you, rockettorque. In fact I agree with you, although a 1 degree celcius change shouldn't lead to the end of mankind.....

My point is, why charge us for the pleasure of watching our planet naturally change? As for my concern, why should I have sleepless nights over events with which I have no chance of influencing? Just enjoy it while it lasts.....

Also did you know, that sitting back and playing chess on-line on this site also contributes to your carbon footprint......no matter how much you deny it, you are also a part of the problem LOL

my belief is global warming is caused by the earth moving closer to the sun, it does not stay the same distance all the time.. ALL THIS BULLSHIT WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH WHEN WE ARE TOLD ITS BECAUSE OF WHAT WE POLLUTE, ITS JUST A CON, EXCUSE TO SLAP US ALL WITH GREEN TAXES!

Probably the clearest and smartest single sentence I've seen on this topic; a topic that is mostly debated by those with no training in science, augmented by the 1% of scientists willing to speak out against Al Gore (but timidly shying away from debate at scientific conferences where evidence prevails). I'm speaking of the much vaunted "minority report" at last year's global summit.

Biker Chick is right.
The oncoming global warming tax is just another way of getting oridinary people to pay for lavish lifestyles and increasing cost of upkeep of the Bilderberg, Bohemian Grove and Freemasons Elites.  In the past it was simple tax, nowdays it's waterbills, council tax, pool tax, income tax, global warming tax etc. etc.  The wars around the world are also created, maintained and enforced where needed, in order to get every single government to enslave it's people.  Modern Slavery is what we are all involved in. Which side are you on ?
