a couple of days ago on live chess someone was been very obnoxious, swearing and insulting people, but someone else responded with a great put down, he wrote; " I never argue with idiots they only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experiance!!"

   i thought that was a wonderful response and very funny;does anyone know any other great put downs?

Ive seen a few of those aerguments too...and think everyone is equally to blame. This is supposed to be a friendly site where we 'band of brothers/sisters' can meet, play and discuss in peace. Those wanting to put anyone down are just looking for short cuts to inflame matters even more.

Its better to look at the cause for these arguments in the first place...and maybe learn from them so we can get on ?

This is one of those lessons of life - some people are the way they are, and that's it.  Just let it roll off your back and move on (I have to follow this advice quite often myself, so I know it isn't easy...)
