JK Rowling is the second richest woman in the United Kingdom, due to the success of Harry Potter.

I like how the chess game was....B01, aka the Scandinavian Defense.  I also liked how I recognized that as I saw it.

I told my girlfriend that I would read all the Harry Potter books if she read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I had only read the first one when I made the deal. The first one was not bad, and not too long either. It has all been downhill from there, though. In retrospect, I guess it wasn't that good of a deal. At least my girlfriend had a good read.

I like millions have read the entire Harry Potter series. I love Harry Potter.

For modern fantasy, Potter is pretty awesome. 5 of the seven books are amazing. We need more writers like Rowling with that level of creativity in modern children/teen fantasy (Please don't say Paolini!). I would love to see if she contines her writing career in something besides Potter spin-offs.
