Are there any Chess.com members who are also members of Mensa?

It has been my experience that Mensans are typically lacking in social skills and waste their time with endless puzzles that mean nothing. I support this hypothesis with the following quote from Wikipedia:

At Mensa's 50th Anniversary, Dr. Ware, one of the founders, addressed Mensans by stating that he hoped that “Mensa will have a role in society when it gets through the ages of infancy and adolescence.” He also said, “I do get disappointed that so many members spend so much time solving puzzles,” expressing his desire for Mensans instead to be solving some of the world's problems.[10]

I've heard some of the same.  Was Dr. Ware referring to Mensa's infancy or society's?  It's a shame that such intelligent individuals have not developed other aspects of themselves besides their intellect

I'm in YG&T (Young Gifted & Talented), formerly known as NAGTY (National Academy of Gifted & Talented Youth); top 5% of Britain.

I however, do not spend most of my time solving meaningless puzzles :)

Why would you wish to spend your time on something you feel is meaningless?

I used to be a member.  I stopped because I was essentially paying a membership fee, just to hang out with people I would meet anyway on campus on a daily basis.

I guess I'm guilty of assuming I know what Fotoman meant by meaningless.  I would guess this use of the word describes something that serves no greater purpose beyond personal entertainment and relaxation.  With that said, I would enjoy having more time spent pursuing activities like that.  Training my mind in a fun enjoyable way would be meaningful to me, and I guess I assumed that held little meaning for anyone else
