Just some shameless plugging here. My band just uploaded our 1st song onto myspace. Please tell me what you all think. I'm playing the drums and keyboard.

Just some shameless criticism here. Double bass kick on 0:34 sounds a little problematic. Some progresesive movement 1:18 and 2:08 would be very nice, for example, I think a change/addition at 1:42 and then another one at 1:52 is demanded, like building up towards something. Something like the guitars entering after 2:08 would be great as such additions. The switch back to the hi hat in the drums at 1:56 otherwise sounds a little "alone and naked" to me, if that makes any sense. And the guitars at the end (starting with 2:15-ending at 2:22) could be extended a little, and would serve as a perfect introduction to a guitar solo. I love solos Smile.

I kept the good part to the last. I liked your song, and especially loved your sound, first I thought it was similar to Queens of the Stone Age, and then noticed it was even closer to classical rock (come taste the band album, for example) it honestly made me happy to see a fresh new band with such a sound, away from the alternative/pop rock bull shit. I know it's very difficult to compose your own songs and you have done a good job in your first, if you get more proficient with your instruments all and work on editing more, I think you have great potential. Please don't drift from that style/sound, long live rock'n roll, YEAH. Laughing

Thanks a lot philidor_position for the constructive criticism. If I'm being brutally honest about my drumming I'd say I'm occasionally just barely competent if I really focus.

I'm not sure I really agree with everything you say though. Then again, of course when I'm one of the people playing the music it's hard to be that objective.

EDIT: I was thinking it could possibly be too short, we could add another bit onto the end I suppose.
