Hey Bart, i have no ideas, but like CG, i will say that motivation will be most crucial thing, and of course, as i'm the son of b.man, i can say that you check the finances first.

I think the most important thing to start out with is to create the characters, their personalities and their history. Once you have the characters worked out you can start thinking about short episodes or just some sketches to make sure you actually are able to create something funny. Then slowly work your way up to full scale. It is really hard to just create an episode with no or little practice.
This is obviously just my opinion on the subject but I do know what I am talking about as I am an musician and I love to compose long complicated songs which I think is compareable to writing cartoons, in the learning process anyway. 
I don't want to start throwing ideas at you right now as I still have no idea what you have come up with so far, but if you clear that up for me I'll be glad to help you! This sound like a really fun project! 
Before you start drawing character maps, you first need characters; which brings us back to square one. What will it be about.
