My new historical novel

I’d like all you cerebral folks to know about my historical novel, Pearl Lagoon.

On the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua in 1926, a stunning local woman entangles herself with two expatriate Americans; the desultory love triangle combined with an escalating civil war ends in murder.  A young U.S. consular officer travels north from Bluefields to investigate.

    One review says:

"At 200-something pages, it's a fun and easy read, as informative as it is entertaining"

    but another reviewer reports that:

“it reminded me of Conrad's Heart of Darkness with shades of Somerset Maugham”

Hmm, do those two reviews contradict each other? I’m not sure how many people call Conrad “fun and easy.”

Anyway, it’s in paperback and for Kindle also. And if anyone has a blog and does book reviews, let me know and I can get you a review copy.

    Peace, and thanks
    Eric
