about 9-11
a day remembered
burned into our minds
the victims all innocent
all races all kinds
the towers are falling
with dust in the air
they had done nothing wrong
it just wasn't fair
tears hit the ground
as people all stared
families running
with children all scared
all for no reason
the people united
and sang song after song
we all stood up
people screamed to the skies
everywhere people mourned
all with tears in their eyes
the flags were adourned
we showed our true colors
we were injured not killed
on that horrible day
much blood had been spilled
murder and death
but no reason in sight
why did this happen
it just isn't right!
it won't happen again it just will not fit
we will always remember
we will never forget.

THROUGH THE EYES OF A SOLDIER
as fires burn
the sky turns red
muskets ring
and more fall dead
men scream in pain
and blood hits the ground
its hell on earth
and theres death all around
dirt turns to mud
as it starts to rain
but cannons keep firing
men still go insane
most of us will die
and as day turns to night
we feel death upon us
but we continue to fight
The sun rises again
the armies cease firing
there isn't a sound
the battle is over
we now see the sun
so many lay dead
but no army has won
we get back to camp
and we gather our gear
no sleep for us today
for the next battle is near
we are not afraid
because we know we will die
when people look back a whole country shall cry
we see people die, day after day
we are ordered around but have nothing to say
its kill or be killed its burned into our head
you pull the trigger nothing needs to be said
none of us our afraid we know we will die
we know what will happen, and theres no need to lie
our friends are all gone
we all here the tired sighs
its just a soldiers life seen through a soldiers eyes.

you should change "we will always forget" to "we will never forget" since no one will really forget 9/11. nice poems though ^_^
