Happy, happy, happy New Year!

Dance and sing and stomp and shout!

Happy, happy, happy New Year!

Kiss your neighbors all about!

If you sing the New Year in

Remembering days of Auld Lang Syne,

Forgive your neighbor, friendship win,

You'll live longer, past your time!

Welcome in a new beginning!

Celebrate the coming year!

Lay to rest old year of sinning!

Greet the new with hearty cheer!

Happy, happy, happy New Year!

Dance and sing and stomp and shout!

Happy, happy, happy New Year!

Celebrate the old year out!

Sung to the tune: "Hogmanay Hoot"

Yes!  Let the New Year come,

with its joy and freedom,

a new canvas fresh and clear

Let us paint, for it is near....

I don't know the tune "Hogmanay Hoot". The poem is great!

There is no tune "Hogmanay Hoot".  That is my signature.  I sign all my poems with made up tune titles that reflect back on the content of the poem in some way.  It is my little eccentricity.  jcc
