It may not be a big deal to anyone else, but I finished that last of my radiation therapy for cancer yesterday afternoon at 12:30 PM. It has been a long and painful 8 weeks of daily radiation treatments. I could deal with them at first but they caught up with me. I recieved them in the neck which is the most painful place to get them since you feel the effects every time you swallow or try to eat. Suprizingly, I didn't loose any of my hair, which is really long and should have fallen out. I would like to thank every one here at chess.com for helping me through the worst of the treatment. I should start to feel back to normal within a few weeks. I have one minor surgery left and possibly one more chemotherapy session left. However, these are small problems to deal with considering I'll get a clean bill of health. I'll also be able able to start playing shows again. The only bad thing to come from this was one of the record labels we were dealing with dropped us because of my health. There loss, our gain. Thanks again everyone for getting me through this.....Hugh

I wish you all the best, Hugh. I know a little how it must be to go through things like that, since my grandma's having the same treatment, as she has cancer like you. She's not in a good condition at all. Nice that you can play music after all again.

Bye

Thanks chessbot3000! That's the thing I love about this site! The fact that people who love the game of chess can play, learn and be social with one another. People are friendly here and you don't find that at many other special interest websites. Thanks again!
