Back in the 1980's I used to live in Halesowen , near Birmingham. A group of us in the local pub were disillusioned by the teams we supported (Aston Villa, B'ham City ,Wolves , West Brom) who were all doing poorly.   We made a decision to give up following league football and focused on Non-League Halesowen Town.

We had ten golden years with them... three FA Vase finals in 4 years (winning two of them) , First round of the FA cup itself seven years running , though never getting to the 2nd Round. We used to travel all over the midlands and East Anglia and had great fun, often meeting and drinking with the opposition fans. Great days !

My first love will always be Crystal Palace, but I regularly go and see Prudhoe Town (Arngrove Northern League, Div 2) because I live near them.
