Steer clear of any travel plans to Vancouver Canada... It's the Doggie Doo Capital of the world and scamming bus riders are everywhere!

    Things I hate:

    5. The nearby neighbours loud rock music

    4. People that won't listen to my WW1 stories

    3. All days that aren't medication or bingo day at my retirement home

    2. The goddam kids skateboarding on the sidewalk

    1. The goddam kids walking on my lawn.

People in civilized England push their way onto buses from the rear?  Times have changed.  I suspect they have been watching too many American movies.  Follow them to work and tell their commanding officers - their bosses - they do not represent their firms very well.

Wish I were there to help out.  In China I threw an American off an airport bus onto the tarmack for putting his hands on a Chinese man.  You don't think the Chinese arrested me?  When people are rude they hear it from me on the bus.

On a bus I tell some of them straight away to "shut the F*** up ".  It scares them because they never hear that from any one. Black, White, Hispanic, I don't give a damn who they are.  I had to do that in a community college typing class one night.  A young Puerto Rican lad and myself took it out to the hallway.  I am a senior and in Chicago seniors ride free of charge.  I will say we do have the same type of young people.  If we don't stand up to idiots they think they do not have to change their behaviors.  If they can get away with pushing to the front of the que they will keep on doing it.

I do have one WWI story.  Unknown to many, 220,000 Chinese served on the Western Front in WWI.  I have not seen a WWI British soldier in uniform since they closed Chelsea Barracks.  Can't be many of them left.  When you get old you get skinny so that the uniform still fits.  I used to see American doughboys in uniform at Memorial Day parades in Iowa in the 1970's.  There must only be a few left, because they would all be over 100 now.  Their WW I stories are now called History.
